Liechtenstein

While staying in Appenzell we decided to make the small hop into Liechtenstein, which was only a short drive away.

In fact Liechtenstein might as well be another Canton of Switzerland, being only 160km2, and using the Swiss Franc as it's currency. Although apparently it is world's largest producer of sausage casings and false teeth.

We managed to arrive at sunset, and took some photos of the Schloss Vaduz.

After this we were a little at a loss for what to do, and decided to drive further into the country to visit one of its ski resorts (Malbun) where we hoped we might find some dinner.

In the end this proved to be a master stroke - we had a very nice dinner, in a restaurant with locals enjoying their own winter holidays, in beautiful surrounds and a full moon.
